About us

01What we do

We pick a short list of calm, short games you can play free in a web browser and explain them for players in the UK: what you actually do, who each game suits, how long a sensible session lasts, whether there are adverts or accounts, and where to find the official version.

We favour games that respect your time: short, calm and easy to close. Daily puzzles, gentle toys and one very long, very quiet drive.

02Why the name

Some days you just want a quiet road with nothing to prove. These games are like that: no rush, no shouting, just a few calm minutes before you carry on with your day.

03What we are not

We are not a game portal. We do not host or copy any game, and we do not embed games in our pages. Every review sends you to the official site, which is the safest place to play.

04How we stay independent

Nobody pays for a review, a score or a place on our list, and we do not use affiliate links. Running costs are covered by the operator named below.

05Who writes the reviews

The Slow Road desk is a small group of long-time players, including parents and teachers. Each review is played on a computer and a phone, checked by a second person and dated.
